RANT peer editing criteria

Listen to your partner's rant and give feedback based on the following criteria:

  • Rant is 1 minute 30 seconds minimum to 2 minutes max.
  • Rant topic is interesting to the target age group (12-14 year olds). 
  • Rant is interesting to the listener.
  • Rant has 3 main points.
  • Rant uses relevant examples to prove its 3 points.
  • Rant has an effective message. This might include proposing a solution to whatever you are saying is wrong.

Kyle’s family has a salad dressing recipe that can feed his entire family! Kyle has shared the recipe with Julia for her upcoming Easter dinner. Julia’s family is only ⅓ the size of Kyle’s therefore she needs to adjust the size of the recipe by determining one third of the recipe (and each ingredient).
