Mariah bought flowers to plant on her balcony. She planted ⅙ of the flowers before lunch and ⅖ of the flowers after lunch.

1. What fraction of the flowers did she plant by the end of the afternoon?
2. She wants to finish planting the flowers in the evening so that they are ready to show Maddyne the next day. What fraction of the flowers does she still need to plant?
